Ready, Set, Go! 2016 Has Started, Are You Ready?

I came across an article by a business broker that seemed to echo my theme when I do the first of the year Summit. Here’s how he starts out;

“Every January we all think about making resolutions such as: Losing weight, taking a vacation, moving our residence or even better relationships.

  • How about thinking about a Business Resolution for 2016?
  • If money were no object, what could you do to improve your business?
  • If you had a “not so good year”, what was the reason?
  • If you had a “great year”, what did you do to get there?

Can you ask yourself this question, “am I working in the business or am I working ON the business”.
Am I the sales department, finance, bookkeeper and janitor?” Jeffery Nyman

Did you answer those questions as you began your year? Without assessing where the business is at and determining your Key Success Factors, you run the risk of needing to make expensive changes of direction later on, as you have not aligned your objectives to the success of your business. You must sit down and think what you really need to do to make your business a success. Developing the blueprint is a process, once done and acted upon, helps you manage the high priority, high payoff activities on your path to entrepreneurial success. Success is created by the systematic process of setting and achieving progressively more difficult, interesting and rewarding goals and objectives.

Goals are the things that we make happen when we’re awake. Goals are the things which require us to get up, keep our eyes open on the road ahead and work. Goals are the things which often, if not always, come to life providing we work at them.

When striving for success, it isn’t about toughness and strength it’s about alignment with your profound values, beliefs and thoughts. Get ready for a new perspective – Set your goals, write them down, set deadlines for their achievement and get busy working a plan. Let your daily watch word be action, action, ACTION!
